1. About these terms

These terms apply to the VERIMTREX website, client portal, online verification journeys and APIs, operated by STROMS LEGACY PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U78300KA2024PTC192706), Bengaluru, India. By using them you agree to these terms. Paid services are governed by the written agreement or order we sign with you. If it conflicts with these terms, that agreement prevails.

2. Our services

VERIMTREX provides managed background verification, online verification journeys and verification APIs. The checks available to you depend on your agreement, configuration, consent obtained and the availability of data sources and providers.

3. Verification results

Reports and API responses are decision-support information based on the documents, records and sources available when the check was performed. A result may be incomplete or change over time, and we do not guarantee that any record exists or is current. The decision to hire, lend, onboard or otherwise act on a result is yours.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use the services only for a lawful, legitimate purpose that you have disclosed to us.
• Obtain and keep valid consent or another lawful basis before submitting anyone's personal data for verification.
• Provide accurate case details and documents.
• Keep account and API credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
• Do not attempt to access other customers' data, probe or disrupt the platform, resell access without our written permission, or use the services for unlawful profiling or discrimination.

5. Accounts and API access

Portal accounts are created for named users of your organization. You are responsible for activity under your accounts and credentials. We may suspend access where we reasonably suspect misuse, a security risk, non-payment or breach of these terms.

6. Fees

Fees, wallet balances, usage charges and payment terms are set out in your agreement or invoice. Taxes are charged as applicable.

7. Intellectual property

The website, platform, reports format, branding and software belong to STROMS LEGACY PRIVATE LIMITED or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the services for your internal business purposes during your engagement. Client logos shown on the website belong to their respective owners and appear with their permission.

8. Confidentiality and data protection

We treat client information and verification data as confidential and handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and our agreement with you.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the services available, but they depend on third-party providers and networks. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may carry out maintenance or change features.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VERIMTREX is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or decisions made on the basis of reports or API responses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the affected service in the three months before the claim, unless your agreement says otherwise. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any dispute-resolution clause in your agreement.
